The Dance

So, allow me a quick summary of the pilgrimage: Wow.

A more detailed one would encompass the joys of traveling dependent on your own abilities, strength, and will, supplanted by the gifts of strangers who help along the way, while traveling through beautiful country. It would likely include the food, the smells, and the sounds that land on you like the gentle drizzle or the heat that you swim in.

But all those really just describe the outside, events and actions and things that one thinks are within their scope of control or completely outside of it. But there’s this small space between those. The real gift is the goal (or goal-less-ness) of the pilgrim. The reason why such a journey is undertaken.

The exposure to the truth of one’s being, the reflection of life and how one has been living it in accordance with whatever values or maxims we’ve learned to hold dear. All those collide with the reality of our dance with the others who share our existence and the planet who allows it.

Let’s make a beautiful dance, shall we?
