web ware

Homer can help you create a powerful, engaging presence on the web, whether for business or pleasure. Hopefully it's both. He might even help it turn into more of a pleasurable experience, one in which you are heard, your goals and needs met, and your purse still jangling. It's been known to happen.

writing

Homer is an award-winning writer with more than 20 years experience bending, molding, and shaping words to create compelling, accurate, and entertaining content. From user manuals to books to help systems, Homer has the writing skills and experience to ensure that your project is completed to your high standards.

graphic design

Homer helped write the book on graphic design (well... the PageMaker 5 User Manual anyway) and has been vectoring and pixelating for many a year. His eye for design, color, and composition will help your site or product stand up and get noticed. All in a manner of speaking, of course. His eye couldn't really command anything to stand up. Homer is especially adept at putting together a cohesive package that coordinates your web presence with your forms, letterhead, and marketing materials.

instructional design

Let Homer design your instructional or training materials. he's worked on many high-visibility projects, from Microsoft-certified courseware for SQL Server to Jack Canfield's The Success Principles. He's worked on scripts (he studied under Stuart Stern, the scriptwriter of "Rebel Without A Cause"), student guides, workbooks, hand-outs, and instructor guides.

virtual editor

If people tell you that you're, ummm, grammatically challenged, Homer offers a virtual editor option so that your site content is pristine, error-free, and consistent. This handy and affordable option is great for small offices or big players who need a little editing help to keep their street cred. In fact, it can even be automated so that your web site updates are emailed for review prior to publishing on your site.

homer

Homer has been at it for a while, enjoying the ride along the way. He's uniquely well-rounded to provide meaningful content and wrap it in the warm, cozy blanket of engaging design. He's also easy to work with, personable, and reliable. Give him a call to talk about your upcoming project: (916) 220-0141. Or, email him.

Love is not to be cultivated. Love cannot be divided into divine and physical; it is only love-not that you love many or the one. That again is an absurd question to ask: "Do you love all?" You know, a flower that has perfume is not concerned who comes to smell it, or who turns his back upon it. So is love. Love is not a memory. Love is not a thing of the mind or the intellect. But it comes into being naturally as compassion, when this whole problem of existence-as fear, greed, envy, despair, hope-has been understood and resolved. An ambitious man cannot love. A man who is attached to his family has no love. Nor has jealousy anything to do with love. When you say, "I love my wife," you really do not mean it, because the next moment you are jealous of her. Love implies great freedom-not to do what you like.

But love comes only when the mind is very quiet, disinterested, not self- centered. These are not ideals. If you have no love, do what you will-go after all the gods on earth, do all the social activities, try to reform the poor, the politics, write books, write poems-you are a dead human being. And without love your problems will increase, multiply endlessly. And with love, do what you will, there is no risk; there is no conflict. Then love is the essence of virtue. And a mind that is not in a state of love, is not a religious mind at all. And it is only the religious mind that is freed from problems, and that knows the beauty of love and truth.
