What that means to you and your viewers

It’s a database-driven site (using PHP and MySQL, the industry standards), which gives speedy response as well as separates the content from the look and feel of the site.  Since the design and the content are separate, you can add content while Homer refines the design. The design is created using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), another industry standard. This makes it very easy to adjust the look of the site, and all pages change simultaneously and consistently. Many design options are possible--we'll use a template as a starting point on the journey to an oh-so-very-you look.

This site allows an unlimited number of menus, sub-menus, and pages, and the ability to publish for specific time periods (for example, a holiday message on the home page).  We can set up hidden menus which display for registered users--so useful for client areas of the site to offer a special deal, for example, or provide shortcuts and help pages that assist your staff learn the system and add content.

In addition, using CSS allows the site design to progress at the same time as the content is being added, so the site launch time can be greatly reduced.  Target time to launch is two weeks after signing, but varies based on your availability to review and  participation in the design process.
