I had the honor to attend a year-long certificate program in Sceenwriting at the University of Washington. The course was taught by Stewart Stern, author of Rebel Without a Cause, Randy Sue Coburn, co-author of Mrs. Parker and Her Vicious Circle, and Geoffery Miller, author of Battlestar Gallactica IV.
What a great experience this was. Not only for the time spent with each of these wonderful teachers, but for the friendship of each of the fellow participants.
I highly recommend this or other scriptwriting programs longer than a weekend.

Fable for adults. Synopsis Rosamund as a girl was told by her departing mother to wait and so for many, many years, she did just that. When a storm breaks a branch from the oak tree, which punches a hole in her roof, Rosamund has to face the reality that she is no longer a girl, and that her mother is not coming back... and so therefore she has to start living her life. Throughout the day she meets a young prince who checks in to see if she needs saving, a ram who loves her thick green grass, and a tiger who loves to eat rams. She learns that she has the power within herself to be happy and healthy, that she doesnÃt need saving, and that life--like her--is really quite beautiful. |
